Being an old tech, I was pleased to see the NYS incorporate ce credits to their program. It may help to promote mor local participation and provide support for local societies as well as a source of networking for techs in a tight job market.

Becoming the president of a nationally recognized professional organization like NYSSRS is, is the highest honor. However, this honor comes at a price. Our colleagues that have held this position have put thier personal lives on the back burner to meet the needs of the society. They travel to meet with officials in "the state", the ARRT, the ASRT and thier subordinate societies in NY. They learn more about the inner workings of government (local, state and national) in the 6 years serving the board, than most of us will learn in our entire careers. Why do they do all this? Because they love their profession, they love the state in which they practice and they want to be change agents for those of us who are home enjoying our lives. Thank you past and current presidents!!! Your professionalism is inspiring.

Some RT'sd are confused about the CE requirements. There are two groups of RT's in NY: those registered with the ARRT and licensed in NY and the other group are those only licensed by NY. This new CE requirement will mostly affect those who are not registered with ARRT. This group of technologists never had to do any continuing education becasue CE requirements were mandated by ARRT. So for most RT's in NY, your ARRT renewal will be proof of CE for NYDOH licensure. For the rest of the RT's, you will need to get 12 credits ANNUALLY so you are able to show proof of CE the NEXT TIME YOU RENEW YOUR NY STATE LICENSE. So come join us at our annual conference - have fun, make new friends and earn your credits all at the same time!!!

The students who attended this conference, really had a great time at the student ice breaker (playing "MATCH GAME"). They got to know each other and made a few new friends from other programs. The review programs, while designed to prepare graduates and to assist those who need a refresher before taking thier boards - was a great experience for the students. They hear the same voices in the classroom and found a new perspective refreshing and enlightening! I heard a LOT of great student comments about their level of satisfaction with this experience. Great Job everyone.

Last night I was watching an episode of House and he was looking at a CT of a patient whose liver tumors had shrunken. Too bad they were images of the pelvis at the level of the bladder. LOL.

While we, who are RTs, may consider ourselves as 'professionals' with a AAS degree or a hospital certificate, the rest of the health care community does not. Sadly, this issue is not just based on perceptions. While there many examples of this, two issues warrant our imaging profession's attention: (a) the lack of meaningful research RTs publish towards expanding the body of knowledge regarding medical imaging sciences and (b) the lack of educationally prepared Technologists to qualify for leadership and administrative roles. As such, RNs and MBAs are encroaching on these higher paying jobs and becoming our supervisors. It is becoming commonplace that non-RTs are directing our work lives-all with a limited understanding of our complex professional scope of practice and without ever making an exposure or the knowledge thereof.

free lease option contract...

Here’ s the benefit to each party. I will assume for simplicity (and no other reason) that it takes five years for the home to eventually be sold or purchased by the CREES. I will also assume that appreciation is lower than it has been in the past 20...
