Membership Types and Eligibility
Membership dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution, but might be deductible as a business expense. Members should seek a tax professional's advice regarding dues deductibility as a business expense.

Technologist - Renewal
Technologist - New Member


Members of NYSSRS shall promote radiologic sciences. They shall have the right and privilege to hold office, attend meetings and vote with full participation in the business of NYSSRS. The annual dues shall be payable each year in advance.

Membership shall consist of the following categories:

1. ACTIVE MEMBERS - shall be persons actively practicing in radiologic sciences. They shall be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or be licensed by New York State or other recognized certifying agencies. Active members shall have full rights and privileges of membership and may serve as DELEGATE to American Society of Radiologic Technologists, ASRT, House of Delegates if a member of ASRT.

2. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS - shall be persons ineligible for active or student membership interested in promoting the purpose of NYSSRS. Associate members shall not vote or hold office.

3. STUDENT MEMBERS - shall be enrolled in an educational program, be eligible for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and registered with New York State Department of Health asa student. Eligibility shall conclude on discontinuation of student status. Student members shall not vote or hold office.

4. LIFE MEMBERS - shall be those who have rendered unusual service and who have the unanimous recommendation of the Board of Directors. Life members shall be exempt from annual dues by majority vote at a regular board meeting.

5. EMERITUS MEMBERS - shall be exempt from annual dues upon reaching age 60, been a member for 20 consecutive years and have made application.

Criteria for Membership is taken from the bylaws of the NYSSRS.
